Welcome to the Annandale North Springfield Little League (ANSLL) Fall 2025 registrations. Here are descriptions of the divisions we offer in ANSLL.

Tee Ball - (League Ages 4, 5, 6 and Grades pre-K, K, 1)

Teams will be formed by requests and on a neighborhood basis as much as possible. This level is an introduction to baseball where your child learns the basics. All players bat in each inning outs are made but not recorded in a 3 inning game. A soft safety ball is hit from a tee. This level will be composed of mostly 5 and first time 6 year-olds.

Developmental (Coach Pitch) - (League Ages 6-7 and Grades K, 1 & 2)

Teams will be formed by requests and on a neighborhood basis as much as possible. Players will have the opportunity to learn the basics of fielding, base running and proper batting mechanics and playing a "real game", even though score is not kept. This is where they learn the goal of getting "outs" in the field, and trying to avoid getting out while batting. Coaches will pitch the ball to the players. Mostly 6-7 year-olds are anticipated to play at this level. 6 innings or 1:45 time limit. 1 Game per week on Saturdays, with one weekday practice.

Farm (Machine Pitch) - (League Ages 7-8 and Grades 1-3)

Farm level is a developmental league and teams will be formed by requests and on a neighborhood basis as much as possible. A pitching machine delivers the ball to the batter. Mostly 7 and 8 year-olds are anticipated to play at this level. In a rare case a 6 year old may be considered to play in this level if he/she has played at least one season of Developmental (Coach Pitch) and the request is approved by the ANSLL player agent. 6 innings or 1:45 time limit. 1 game per week on Saturdays, with one weekday practice.

Majors - Minors (AA and AAA) - (League Ages 8-12 and Grades 2-7)

All players registering for Majors - Minors usually attend a player evaluation session in the spring, but not in the fall season. Players should generally play at the same level they played in the spring except for the following cases: 1) Players who were league age 12 during the prior spring season should play Juniors during the fall season. 2) Players who were league age 11 and played AAA during the prior spring season should play Majors during the fall season.

Juniors and Intermediate league - (League Ages 12-15)

All players will be drafted onto a Juniors/Intermediate team with a mix of 12 and 15 yr old players and is played on a 90' diamond.

Seniors league - (League Ages 14-16)

All players will be drafted onto a Seniors team with a mix of 14 to 16 yr old players and is played on a 90' diamond.
