To the ANSLL Community,

Every season, we have the opportunity to get together and play baseball. One of our own team members, Max Pound, loved the sport and played beside us until he and his family learned Max was suffering from High Grade Glioma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

At just ten years old, with a heart full of courage, Max battled this disease for 26 months, showing a resilience that inspired everyone around him. Yet, even the strongest players sometimes face battles that cannot be won.

In Max's honor, the Max Pound Foundation was born with a singular mission: to reshape the future of pediatric brain cancer by championing research and driving advancements in treatments for children like Max.

Today, we are asking each one of you to support Max by doing what you do best...supporting your teammates. On the morning of June 8, 2025, at Woodson HS, Max's mom, dad, family and friends, and the ANSLL Community, will be running in the Max Pound Foundation 5K, Steps Toward a Cure.

We ask you to do what you can to show your support. For only $30, you can run alongside us and show Max and other children suffering from this disease that they have you in their corners. Please consider doing what you can. Register as soon as possible.
