| GAMES and
PRACTICES |
Practices will begin after teams are formed. Teams
are formed from the Majors down to AA through a draft. The
A, Rookie and Tball team rosters will be distributed at the managers
meeting. Practice days, fields and times are determined at the managers meeting in March.
Majors and AAA are usually 2 games per week,
one weekday and one Saturday.
AA games
are at Pine Ridge.
A are at either Howrey or Mickelwright.
Rookie and Tball games are mainly at Howrey
or Bren Mar Park with generally one practice per week. |
| EVALUATIONS / (Tryouts) |
All players League Age 9-12 are required to attend evaluations. Evaluations are also required for players league age 7 or 8 who want to be considered for the AA league. Players only need to attend one of the two tryout sessions in February.
Each year ANSLL is required to hold evaluations to assess
skill levels. Evaluations are not a test that
must be passed, but rather an assessment
of a child's skill and fundamentals in how
to run, field, hit, and throw a baseball. These skill levels, along with
other factors (such as age and safety) and previous manager ratings
are used to place the player at the level most
appropriate for them to have the best baseball experience. All players
will be placed on a team, this just helps place them with
players of similar abilities.
For specific question of Evaluations click here or contact the Coordinator at richardw@ansll.org |
| SPONSORS and BOOSTERS |
